Reduced rate when arriving by public transport. Please ask at reception before purchasing ticket and show valid travel ticket.

Guided tours
Introductory talks for all groups. Out-of-hours visits available for groups. Booking essential.

Parking
Very limited parking on Low Sand Lane, adjacent to house. Drop-off point.

Building
Level entrance to visitor reception. Access to ground floor of house and discovery room via lift from visitor reception. Top floor of house is not accessible. Ground floor accessible. Handrail on two flights to first floor. Seating available. Virtual tour available in Discovery Room.

Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair accessible WC in rear courtyard, accessible through visitor reception. A wheelchair is available for visitor use in the house.

Visually information
Braille and large-print guide available on request.

Audio information
Counter induction loops are fitted at Visitor Reception and in the shop.

Facilities for families
Baby-changing and feeding facilities. Hip-carrying infant seats for loan. Hands on rooms, costume to try on, traditional games,  touch screen computers.

Dogs welcome
On leads, in front garden only.

Refreshments
Visitors to Wordsworth House can take advantage of a special offer at the Trout Hotel*. Refreshments are also available at nearby cafés on Main Street.

*On production of your Wordsworth House ticket you are entitled to 10% off food in The Trout Hotel’s terrace bar, next door to Wordsworth House. A wide range of locally sourced food is available. Groups must be pre-booked. Contact The Trout at www.trouthotel.co.uk Tel: (01900) 823591. Refreshments are also available at nearby cafés on Main Street.

[89: NY118307] Cycle: NCN71 (C2C). Bus: Stagecoach in Cumbria X4/5 Penrith–Workington via Keswick, 35/6 Workington–Cockermouth. All buses stop on Main Street. Station: Workington 6½ml

Parking
No parking on site. Parking in town centre car parks. Long stay car park (not NT) 300yds on Wakefield Road (also free coach parking).
