Learning & access

In restoring Wordsworth House, the aim has been to give a glimpse into the childhood years of William Wordsworth. The result, achieved after four years of research and planning, is the work of not only National Trust staff, but also a range of skilled craftspeople, conservators and historians.

We welcome school and other education groups of all ages. Visits can be tailored to suit the needs of individual groups. Visits include living history with costumed interpreters, talks and hands-on activities. We also have an education room with computer interactives.
